While vacationing in Paris this summer, we went to the Grand Palais and saw an amazing installation by David Burren: “The 2012 Monumenta site-specific commission in the vast, airy nave of Paris’s Grand Palais is like being plunged into a pool of coloured light” (Guardian/UK). A canopy of horizontal circles, all touching each other, fill the entire floor of the Grand Palais. You walk under the circles. It’s big, it’s colorful, and it’s fun.
